Conquering Cancer Begins with You – New Video Podcast
The power to prevent, control and overcome cancer lives within your own immune defense system. Cancer vaccines, antibody treatments, and other “immunotherapies”have the potential to be more targeted, more effective, and less toxic than today's approaches to fighting this disease. Since 1953, the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) has dedicated itself to fostering the sciences of immunology and cancer immunology. These innovative medical research fields are producing many of today’s most promising new approaches to cancer diagnosis and therapy. Community Health Charities, through is program Health Matters at Work®, has partnered with the Cancer Research Institute to highlight the various types of cancer research being conducted today and its potential impact. Stories of Caring
Stories of Caring is a testimonial that we share with you, our donors, so you can learn about how the dollars you donate help real people in California and how Community Health Charities helps to connect people with trusted member charities nationwide every day.

In June of 2000, I received shocking news. My doctor walked into my hospital room and calmly told me that I had pancreatic cancer and surgery needed to be performed as soon as possible. He also pointed out that I had jaundice, which explained why the white portions of my eyes were yellow. I remember staring at him in disbelief. I thought, "Oh no, I can't have the big C. Not me!"
